FOSSEE, IIT Bombay is hosting Scilab Toolbox Hackathon 2020. This hackathon mainly focuses on the development of the Scilab toolbox. So get started and utilize your lockdown time to participate in this hackathon and improve your coding skills.
Scilab Toolbox Hackathon is a non-stop “Scilab toolbox development” competition initiated by the FOSSEE, IIT Bombay. Scilab Toolbox Hackathon aims at inspiring young minds to build unique problem-specific toolboxes for the proposed ideas or even open-ended real-life problem(s).

Anyone who is well acquainted with the functional aspects of Scilab and Xcos or similar numerical computation software can participate in this hackathon. In this challenge, we invite the participation of students, faculty, research scholars, Scilab experts, professionals, etc, across the globe.
The participation can be through teams. The team size can range from 1 to 4 members in the team. Ideally, a team can comprise of two domain experts and two coding experts. Apart from the team members, the teams can optionally have a mentor also.
Registration starts on : 24 May 2020
Registration last date: 8 June 2020
Hackathon starts on: Immediately after the proposal acceptance
Hackathon ends on : 15 days from the date of acceptance
Results declaration: End of June 2020. (tentative)
To participate in the Scilab toolbox Hackathon 2020, please fill in the Google form available here. Fill in the correct details as this data will be used for communication purposes. There will be no change in the name, email, etc, after submitting the form.

The evaluation will be based on the following criteria
Stage 1: Proposal stage
Stage 2: Submission stage
Review committee details
50 teams to get 1000/- cash prize each.
25,000 for the 3rd place
50,000 for the 2nd place
1 lacs for the winner.
Internship certificates for good submissions
- The decision of the review committee and organizers in declaring the results will be final.No queries in this regard will be entertained.
- The same person can not participate in more than one team.
- There will be only one point of contact (the team leader) with the organizers.
- Any participant found to be indulging in any form of malpractice will be immediately disqualified.
